They should’ve owned their category, but they didn’t. Why?

… blind spots miss opportunity.
The moment a company thinks, “We’re safe,” someone hungrier is already building their replacement.
Zoom didn’t try to be the best Swiss Army knife, they just created a better version of one tool.
They offered a clean, consistent, predictable platform, which was much more user friendly to the dated and clunky feeling Skype.
So a lesson for us all, are we building for the future, for where our customers are going, or are we stuck in the past, where our customers used to be?
