The so-called ‘pursuit of happiness’ is not about arriving at happiness one day and being complete once all these goals are ticked off some arbitrary list.
Happiness is a leaky bucket.
Life is about constantly doing things that bring us joy, comfort, pleasure, satisfaction, enjoyment…
It’s about the small, everyday moments that bring us happiness.
A quiet evening with my wife, watching a sunset, reflecting on my early days of being a teenager, moving to Vancouver, failing, nearly becoming homeless, forcing myself to figure things out, being resourceful, strategizing, and eventually finding solid footing.
…it’s a reminder that we have all come so far, but so often we don’t appreciate it until we look back.
